What is a Default Address?
Suppose a user of your website intends to send you an email regarding your website or some other such issue; the user sends the email to, say, firstname.lastname@example.org, but you do not have that mailbox at all in the first place. Normally, such an email usually bounces back to the sender when the recipient’s address is not found. But with a default address (or a catch-all address), the email, instead of going back to the sender, gets routed to this default address and is stored there for your perusal later. Therefore all emails addressed to a non-existent or non-available email account are forwarded to this default address.
You can easily and quickly create your default email address using Mail Manager in cPanel. For more information, refer to the following link: How do I configure my Default Address?
